From the Saturday morning cartoon vault, an early TV spot with the live-action Burger King doing his magic act. A blow pipe and ball was a kid giveaway. King made burgers, shakes and fries appear from thin air (what? No Whaler?). This aired on "Kids From CAPER" over NBC (6/10/77). A live-action series, "Kids From CAPER" was a belated "Man From UNCLE" parody featuring four late-teen boys and their police sergeant alliance contact. The 13 episode titles spoofed movies (Invasion of the Frankfurter Snatchers"). Originally on the fall 1976 Saturday lineup, "CAPER" was trounced in ratings by "Krofft Supershow" on ABC. Thus, "CAPER" was yanked off air in November, not returning until summer reruns, then cancellation. No notable star names were on the show.
