A couple years before the Whaler, but.. From the Saturday morning cartoon vault, a TV spot with the animated Burger King and his inept wizard. The king orders, "Make me a strawberry shake!" Wizard turns king into one, then into an order of fries, before restoring him to normal. Offer for a plush Burger King toy, two dollars with minimum food purchase. This aired on "The Osmonds" cartoon over ABC (11/11/72). The show was animated in England (similar to the "Beatle" cartoons) by Videocraft. Episode has the Osmond brothers returning to Utah, where Donny hopes to reconcile with a girlfriend who dumped him for another guy. Donny won her back in a skiing contest, though little Jimmy nearly wrecked things. The Osmonds voiced their cartoon figures. Other talent included Paul Frees and Iris Rainier (female characters). Other commercials were for Post Super Orange Crisp, Mattel Vroom motorbikes, Shasta soda and Flintstones vitamins. Network promo for "Saturday Superstar Movie."
