My Dad used to manage a Burger Chef restaurant in Indy back in the 60's. I was around 9 yrs old and I would love to watch the burgers go through the flame when they cooked, and Dad let me put (real) potatoes in the tumbler (a device that tumbled & peeled REAL potatoes). Then on to the French fry slicer and fried in oil. They had FRESH French fries back then!
