Comments left:	I went to Salem Lutheran Elementary School in Blackjack, Mo. in the mid 1970s. For some reason, whenever it was someone's birthday, that person would provide a treat for the other kids in class. On my 12th birthday, my mom took me to the store and i picked out about 30 Bub's Daddies (she couldn't have paid more than four bucks total). The next day I distributed them to my fellow classmates and felt like a million dollars. On the bus ride home, a girl named Laurie, in a grade below me (that I had a huge crush on), was enjoying one of the ropes of bubble gum I brought. Never had the guts to tell her about it, though.
