Nabisco first introduced Bubble Yum late 1977. I distinctly remember the radio commercial with the jingle going so fast, it's hard to recall word-for-word. Part of it went: Bubble Bubble Yum is so much yum, yum, yum, so much gum, gum, gum in Bubble Yum! Top 40 radio stations usually played the ad at least once an hour. Particularly, WLS, the Big 89 in Chicago. All day, with Larry Lujack, Tommy Edwards, Bob Sirott and John Records Landecker. They all played it. The gum itself was loaded with flavor, which lasted about 20 minutes. A Bubble Yum spot usually came up right before or after Landecker conducted his "Boogie Check" call-in segments at 7 and 9 PM (CT).
