Comments left:	I wore these exclusively from 1976 to 1979 when I went back to Levis. They were sold at Bloomingdales in Manhattan -- I remembered I loved them so much, when Bloomingdales didn't have a particular style, I traveled out to A&S in downtown Brooklyn to buy it. I even had a Britannia denim vest with leather trim (that matched one pair jeans which also had leather trim on the back pocket). I do not recall any wide, straight models. As was the fashion, all of the pairs I had were classic, flared bellbottoms. One pair -- I think it was the last one I bought, and was a bleached (light blue) denim -- was so flared, the bell at the bottom extended out virtually to the toes of my rather large feet (on which I often wore clogs).
