Breaking Point was sold by Ideal Toys, 1976-77. Tease on the box: It Takes Nerves of Steel, a Keen Eye and Steady Hand To Make It Past the Breaking Point. eBay has a few of these, complete with instructions and poking sticks. TV commercial aired on "Way Out Games" over CBS (9/25/76). Show was a parody of ABC's "Almost Anything Goes," only kids and teens were contestants as teams. Sonny Fox was host. Games combined athletics with humor. 26 episodes were taped, which included regular competition, playoffs and championship show. When reruns began, CBS moved "Way Out Games" from Saturday to Sunday mornings. Cancelled after one season.
