Comments left:	I got my first Barbie for Christmas in 1974, when I was four, along with her townhouse - the one made of cardboard and plastic tubes that had an elevator you could make move by pulling a string. I probably got some clothes and accessories also, but I mostly remember the house, which stood in my bedroom for years. The doll was a Malibu Barbie with tanned skin wearing a bathing suit. I'd been wanting a real Barbie ever since a little girl about two years older than me moved in next door with a ton of them. I'd go over to play with her but all I had prior to Christmas 1974 was a knock off type fashion doll :) So happy with what Santa brought - I got more Barbie stuff for later Christmases and birthdays, but that was one of my best childhood memories.
