OK, my mother had a policy for us kids of "no candy" because it was bad for our teeth. Exceptions were Halloween (Rationed parsimoniously for a few days until we forgot about the whole shopping bag full of candy in the garage)and occasional mints bought from Campfire Girls,... couple other circumstances. One day she brought home a Baffle Bar she had got out of the vending machine at work, and it was so awful she couldn't eat more than 1 bite. She brought it home for us, and honestly, we each had a bite and left the rest. I still remember the name of that horrible candy.
