Comments left:	Been a few years since last reporting on this. eBay has an empty display box for the Veronica vanilla Tangy Taffy, selling @$200 with shipping. Die-hard Archie Comic fans with that much dough to burn should get it. Also found out that Reggie was on raspberry Tangy Taffy, completing the original fivesome. An Archie series Tangy Taffy box contained 24 bars at a nickel each (the retailer made a pitiful two cents profit on one bar, 48 cents on a box). The box had a promotional message to the retailer, stating that young folks (who like Archie on TV and in comics) are likely to buy Tangy Taffy. The more bought wholesale, the bigger the profit. Only small mom-and-pop grocery or candy stores (who cared little of profitability) in the midwestern states sold them in 1970-71. Another seller offered a Jughead grape wrapper for $25. Each Tangy Taffy bar weighed 7/8 of an ounce.
