Sweet Jesus......I think about this cake all the time and no one from outside Boston or below a certain age has heard of it...googled and nothing.....came across this page by accident. Back in the 70's my mom used to get Appollo Cake (scooter pies) all the time (it was cheap for 6 kids) from our local A&P; I can remember WALKING back from the store with her carrying groceries....Appollo Cake, gallon cartons of milk, tonic in glass bottles.....
