My father would stop by a little neighborhood market after work at least once a week. He would pick up my brother and I each a candy treat. One day, back in the 70's, he bought a 10:30 bar for me. I was hooked immediately! I requested them from there on. Then the sad day came when he brought home some other candy. He then informed me they were all out. The next trip produced another poor substitute candy and the horrible news that they weren't carrying them anymore. My father tried in to find my greatly favored 10:30 bar at other places, to no avail. Now I'm the parent and I have been searching for "the greatly fabled" 10:30 bar for my son to try. It's tremendously depressing to find out that I've spent the last 30+ years looking for something that ceased to exist at the end of the 70's. Other candies and chewing gums have come back from oblivion. Will some candy manufacturer please hear our pleas and bring back our beloved 10:30 bar!
