Yes! I've been looking for them since mom brought them home twice! Great loss to Western Civilization when Viko Chips went away. There was a picture of Viking Ship on the package.

Back in the mid 70's I'd buy multi packs of snacks, they contained Viko chips. The multi packs had regular potato chips, corn chips, cheese doodles and Viko chips. The Viko chips were my favorite, they always got eaten first. They were delicious and unusual, why did they go away?

I thought I couldn't possibly have the name right, but once again google confirmed. I just remember my mom buying them at the local IGA around 1972. I can't even remember the flavor, just the ship on the box. A friend of mine liked them more than me and always went for them when he came over.

Yes, I remember them. Use to buy them at our warehouse market. Think they were made by a company called Pates. They were like a real thick potato chip. they always take the good stuff off the market. Like Martha Gooch macaroni salad mix.

These were my favorite and I was crushed when they were no longer in the variety pack. I must have been about 8 or so. My dad made me write a letter to Pate's expressing my disappointment. About 3 weeks later I received a huge box of variety packs with a thank you note, but unfortunately no Viko Chips. I still miss them!

My dad had a Viko Chip franchise in the early 70's. I think we four kids ate him out of business! Was very sad to see it go..can't seem to find an image anywhere.

They made them really thick, for Vikings and other he-men. As I remember, they had a really tough crunch. They looked like they were made by extrusion, like corn chips, not slicing. The best part was the TV commercial on a station out of San Fransisco: The boat full of vikings coming ashore. (Did they have the Golden Gate Bridge in the background?)

I'm not sure if it's the same company, but try here: intersnack.fr the name is spelled the same and they have been in business since 1955

I saw Viko chips in my local Lucky's in the 70s. They were great! Went back and the had disappeared. Since it's 50 years later, it's time to bring them back. I remember the Vikings, too!6XA

I would go camping in the early 70's and would always pick up the variety packs that included Viko chips in them. As with other commenters, they were my favorites and was so disappointed when they stopped making them.
