Description
I loved Velamints. They were sold in a roll, like Lifesavors. They were a breath mint, I think, not strictly candy. They were square, with a dip in the center, not quite a hole. My cousin and I ate them by the pack, and we were silly 12 year olds and swore that Velamints made you high. I would love to have a Velamint today!

Used to share Velamints with the love of my life by kissing and passing them back and forth. Lots of fun back then and still great memories today. Often wish I could find her and share another pack...

Velamints were great! The first 'upscale' mint that I can remember. I liked how dense they were, and slippery. JW is right...great for passing back and forth while making out. The flavor sparkles were nice; strong but not too strong. BRING BACK VELAMINTS! Square modernism is in!

I know a whole buncha people who'd be really happy and grateful if the Velamints people would seriously reconsider and bring them back! It's time, don'tchya think? Maybe y'all would like to help in getting them to bring them back?

Velamints were my aid to quitting smoking before "The Patch" or nicotine gun were even around. I went from 3 packs a day of smokes to 3 packs a day of Velamints, cold turkey. After about 3-4 weeks off the smokes on the mints, I developed an itch in my throat. Looking in the mirror down my throat I noticed a bunch of whitish bumps in the back of my mouth, which freaked me out. I stuck my finger in to feel them and one came off onto my finger tip. I inspected it. It appeared semi-hard and waxy. I was perplexed. What could that be? referring back to the Velamints ingredients list, lo and behold, one of the ingredients was PARAFFIN! Candle wax! That was enough for me. No more Velamints, but more important, no more smokes going on 30 years. Thank you Velamints, I couldn't have done it without you. But, paraffin?

I had a lot of trouble with allergies and colds when I was a child and I can remember my Grandma giving me these in church so I wouldn't cough... Always loved the hint of vanilla in them...

forgot about these...i really only ate the wintergreen ones, but they had the best texture/mouthfeel, and i liked pushing into the depression in the center with the tip of my tounge, and how those green wintergreen crystals would almost burn.

loved the velamints, however i did have one bad experiance with them as a you child. I ate way too many. They were sweetened with sorbitol, which acts as a laxative. Gave me quite the stomach ache. But i would definitely love a pack of them today.

Found chocolate Velamints on Amazon - but they are now using Truvia to sweeten them. Of course....change happens, but I hope the new sweetener doesn't add that horrible aftertaste...wish they would heve gone with Zylitol. Can't wait to get my first package! "Velamints took the sugar out, you can really taste the mint....."

YES they are back!!! At lease the chocolate one are? I too found them at Dollar Tree. I then went straight to my Walgreens, showed the mints to the manager, and asked why they didn't carry them. His reply........ We will from now on if I can get them! So here's hoping. Other wise I'll have to buy out DT.

I've never eaten a velamint in my life but I wanted to leave a comment. Actually got here because I was talking to a cartoon bumble bee about some velanint flavoured shampoo.

Wintergreen velamints were the BEST! Wish they would bring back that flavor. I remember that smooth, cool freshness they provided! Always had a pack in my purse.

Velamints are a toxic poison in a tin can. They have the gall and nerve to use Aspartame which has been proven to be a serious toxic poison, and in addition they add FDC Blue which is another deadly poison. We have freedom of choice and I choose not to buy this product ever. Look up Aspartame.

I flew on Air Force One as a flight steward, with President Reagan and in 1983. The Queen of England came to the U.S and I was assigned to the take The Queen on a thirteen day tour of the U.S.I put some of them on the table, and she loved them When she departed the plane I gave her crewmember a case of them for her.
