I believe these were out in the late 70's, possibly the early 80's. My grandma used to buy them for us and they were so good!! I can't find many people who remember these.

Sour Cream Doritos.....YUM. I can still taste them 30 years later. They were the best chip ever!! I could chow down on a big bag anytime anywhere.
These were the bomb. I'm like Bill. I can still taste 'em after 30 years & I still remember those yummy oniony green flecks on every chip. They can make every off the wall flavor under the sun (Thai Chili, Blue Cheese Buffalo Wing etc.) but they can't make a CLASSIC like Sour Cream 'n Onion? What's up w/that...?
Oh how I wish they'd make these again, They were my absolute favorite!!!!!!!!!!

Ok-I have been revisiting this very idea for awhile. I loved them! I was asked once my favorite chip, and the answer was very clear to me. I wanted to let the company know that they must revisit this flavor , but I can't seem to get through on the web site! Let us all rally and make it clear that the SOUR CREAM N" ONiON DORITO must resurface for the world. Perhaps there was some bizarre addictive ingredient that they don't want us to all know about. whatever it was I would love to have them back! If they are looking for help in the sales dept. I would be first in line!
I have wanted the sour cream and onion flavored Doritos so bad and i really hate they stopped selling them..i wish they would bring them back..they were sooooo good.
I LOVED these...used to eat them with cream cheese...it really was a great combination! They definitely need to bring these back.

I believe this flavor was the last to be featured in a commercial starring the Late,Great Avery Schrieber(correct spelling?)
