even though it been forever I remember skake and bake burgers quite well as a kid. I would love to see it back on the shelves. at 55 years old i have to admit it's the best burg i've ever had. i would like to know why they ever pulled it. possible a health issue, but come on if your going to eat burgers what's the dif? i'd rather crock eating something i enjoy. the next best thing i've found even close to it is lick's frozen burgers. let's all get off our butt's and start pestering the makers of shake and bake. who know's, might get somewhere.

I have been craving this for our hamburgers and asked Mom and she couldn't remember what she used then it dawned on me today what it was. Ya'll let's get them to bring it back it was so so so good I am 46 now and I can still taste the yummy flavor to this day! Crazy huh?! :)

Shake & Bake for hamburgers got me though my Army tour at Ft. Monmouth NJ. I would visit my wife to be on weekends and she made the Shake& Bake burgers, the "best burgers in town." PLEAS BRING'EM BACK !

This was definitely one of our favourites. Did contact Kraft last year to see if they were ever going to reintroduce it or if not, if they would make the recipe available. They did reply, No to both questions.

I loved it too and have been trying to find a copy kat recipe. I never looked forward to having hamburgers for dinner before this. I never fry my hamburgers and always have them in a bun but I never did this with the Shake n Bake hamburgers. I didn't want anything to take away from the wonderful flavor. Please bring it back.

i've been doing some reading and it seems to maybe of been a health issue. i remember it calling for regular ground beef. i don't see why you can't just use a leaner burg if your worried.

I was told that it didn't sell but every time we try to buy it they were sold out. So how could it not be selling. We loved it because of the flavor and because you baked it not fried.

Yes Yes Yes, please bring back shake n bake for hamburgers. The very last pkg I purchased tasted like someone had slipped and put way too much salt in it. Shortly after than I couldn't find it again. The hamburgers were always so moist & juicy when baked with shake n bake.

Bought Shake & Bake for Hamburger all the time back in the 70' and always wondered what happened to it, hard to believe Kraft Foods said basically wasn't selling that well, I agree times and tastes trend over the years but come on Kraft look at all the Positive feedback you have right here. So dam easy to do a survey on social media these days, you could have an answer in a week or so. I personally feel it was a liability issue of people not cooking the Burgers thoroughly and getting sick and the Corp. lawyers said ditch it before someone gets sick and dies. Lawsuit. Just my take.

I've been emailing Kraft foods for over 15 years now trying to get Shake & Bake for hamburgers back on the market. They said that it wasn't popular enough!!!! Like everyone said, great burgers and juicy ALL the time. I have been asking them to whip up a case for me and I would buy it and store it. Probably wouldn't last long with me but the point is it was a great product. I bet if they re-introduced it in the urban areas first it would take off.

Can't understand or find reasonable answers to why Shake-N-Bake for hamburgers is no longer available! Kinda makes me wonder if they found out something in it would make them liable for lawsuits. This is year 16 that I have been writing Kraft and got the same double talk about being discontinued and “we thank you for your interest in our products and would like for you to keep trying our other products.” I don’t want their other products. If I remember correctly, my mom and I went through this trail when it was first discontinued and the reason then and the reason it tasted so good, was heavy msg, just like adolphs meat tenderizer at the time!

Ingredients: Wheat flour, pregellatinized corn flour, corn starch, monosodium glutamate, malted barley flour, sugar, wheat bran, wheat gluten, shortening, artificial beef flavor, onion powder, artificial color, spice and herb, natural flavor, yeast, malt syrup. I tried to post a photo of the box, but there was difficulty.

I am trying to reproduce it at home. If I come up with a suitable product I will print the recipe here and try to market it.

I contacted the shake and bake company this weekend all they said was there not excepting any comments or suggestions. I did make shake and bake with chicken on my hamburgers in the air fryer and added Lowery seasoning salt this week they turned out pretty good not as good as the other though

Yeah, I too remember these fondly, from, what, 40-50 years ago. Yikes. In addition to the ingredients, does anyone have what the cooking instructions were? I've tried a few bake-in-the-oven recipes and none worked quite right. If anyone has the instructions -- temp, minutes in the oven, etc. -- that would be great. Do any of you remember Duchess Burgers? It was a recipe from the back of the shake n bake box, a scoop of Mashed potatoes on top of a shake n bake burger. Mmmmm. Haven't had them in over 30 yrs.

I am 70 years old. I was married in 1971. Hamburger Helper for Hamburger was the first meal I made for my in-laws. I would love to have them again before I die.
