I remember running to the nearby little music store to get our favorite pop...the pop shop pop. And guess what...I found the same old pop at the grocery store a few weeks ago. The only difference now they are twist cap bottles. It shure brings back the memories.

I grew up in Wichita Kansas and we had a store there called The Pop Shop where you could go in and buy different bottles of pop. You then returned the empties and bought more. It was like a supermarket for pop. Grab a cart when you walked in and go up and down the isles. My parents never went there because we drank 7 up and Coke. That's it, no other pop and they were more expensive. Shasta sold seperate cans at theat time so I would buy those.

This sounds like it was a GREAT idea that should have swept the country.I remember a Billy's Pop Shop in Long Beach Island NJ but it probably wasn't the same thing.Pop Shop Pop was the name brand? Billy's used to sell all kinds of brands but it was by the case only. You were allowed to mix your own custom case ,though
