Description
Oh these were a big favorite, I still have the filling where I lost a quater of my molar from crunching it! They came in Watermelon flavor, cherry, apple, lemon and cinnamon. They came in little cubes or long flat sticks. My all time favorite flavor.. Cinnamon or as it was labeled." Fire Stick".

Yeay they were called Fire STYX. And The Jolly Rancher Candy Company was sold. Used to be in Wheat Ridge Colorado up until a few years ago. Now it is made abroad like everything else that once made this country great. And the Jolly Ranchers now have rounded edges so that the square pieces don't cut up you mouth as you suck on them.

The Lantana, FL Little League Baseball Field (that's not there anymore) sold the flat Jolly Ranchers in the concession stand. I ate a ton of the Watermelon ones every summer

I loved the Jolly Ranchers Stix. My faves were apple, grape and cherry. I remember trying to fish money outta the couch (my dad was always losing the change in his pockets there), for a dime to stop at the candy store after school and buy a JP stix!

Actually as I recall, STIXX and Jolly Rancher were two different products from two different companies and for a while both products were on the market competing with one another, first STIXX then jolly rancher. Sometime in the late sixties early seventies the company that made jolly ranchers bought the STIXX company with the sole intent of taking their better tasting product off the market. we all complained bitterly that the jolly rancher green apple wasnt as sour and the watermellon wasnt as tart as the STIXX brand. maybe someone could give more detail on this.
