Yep, I remember the orange ones. I hope they bring those bad boys back!

I remember at school lunch time we used to take the foil wrappers and fold them into different shapes when we were done!

I remember that over the coarse of about a year in the 70's that the name changed from Hostess Ding Dongs, to King Dongs, to King Dons. Also they used to be much yummier than they are now. It had less artificial stuff bach then.

I loved the milk chocolate ones, with the yellow cake, wrapped in foil. Always moist & fresh.

I remember Orange ding dongs! I was crazy about them and they stoped making them. I was crushed and betrayed.

They tasted so much better and the texture was so much better back when they were wrapped in foil. MMMMMMMMM!!

From Marvel Comics, issue #2 of "Laff A Lympics," based on the Saturday cartoon show, from mid 1978. An ad for Hostess has Spider Man foiling a museum robbery. The villain clones himself into ten, but Spidey lures out the real one with cupcakes that look like Ding Dongs. In the comic's main story, field reporters Snagglepuss and Mildew Wolf are fired and replaced by Roger Rankle, who closely resembles Howard Cosell. Rankle favors the Really Rotten team, while blatantly skewers the Scooby Doo and Yogi Yahooey teams in track and field games. Yogi Bear devises a plot to get rid of Rankle and bring back his friends. Character profiles include Daisy Mayhem (parody of Li'l Abner's Daisy May) of the Really Rotten team.

What's with Hostess these days? Just purchased a box of Ding Dongs and they're so effin small now! They also arn't wrapped in foil anymore. This sux! I did see that they come in White Fudge now. Maybe I'll give them a try next time
