Description
This is actually a question about one of your entries. It says Goobers but I think those were chocolate covered raisins and the peanut butter and jelly mixed in one jar (which is still available!) was called Goober Grape.

Goobers were the chocolate covered peanuts and raisinets were the chocoalate covered raisins. They were made by the same company and use to advertise them together. Nestle makes raisinets now and haven't sen goobers in years

you can still buy goober grape and goober strawberry at least ive seen them at walmart.the jar had peanutbutter and jelly stripes which looked like a pinwheel if you looked at it from the top when you opend the jar.it was GREAT the catch was not scooping out a row of jelly or peanut butter by itself because you liked it-this was a sure fire way to piss off your sibling-MOM! AMY SCOOPED OUT JUST THE JELLY FROM THE GOOBER GRAPE_NOW THERES ONLY PEANUTBUTTER! my brother was stupid and now hes ok.

Goober-Grape will always remind me of day camp. In NYC, when I went to church day camp, they provided lunches for us kids. Sometimes, we got 2 slices of bread (in plastic), a small tub of Goober-Grape w/ a wooden spoon-stick (like the kind w/ ice-cream cups), an orange or an apple, juice, and a packet of crackers or cookies. Yeah, field trips to the pool, and Goober-Grape!

Goober Grape was DA BOMB back when I was a young'un... One of the few treats from the 70s still being made today, even though the packaging has changed... and unlike most other non-gourmet peanut butters, is still sold in glass jars instead of plastic(doesn't really make any difference, except plastic is safer and won't break if you drop it), and even though I'm just this side of 50, I'll buy myself a jar now and then even today... It's still as good as when I was a kid...
