Description
Doo Dads was a chex-like mix that contained pretzel rods, peanuts, and various other crunchy things. We knew our parents were going to entertain the Carlson family when my mom came home from the grocery store with the box of Doo Dads!!

I used to love Doo Dads! Too bad they don't make them anymore! My brother and I loved them!
I love doo dads! (I remember it was written with lowercase letters because the show "Not Necessarily the News" did a bit about Mom & Pop stores closing and how sad for the little guy to not be able to grab his favorite snack on the go. The newscaster grabbed a box (which happened to be upside down) and started referring to it as "spap oop" :)

"doo-dads" was a mix - up snack that was consist of Pretzel Sticks, Cheez - Bits crackers (not Cheez - It), Chex cereal, Cheerios (I think), and Salted Peanuts. It was a delicious snack best eaten when you're watching your favorite movie or favorite show. They were on the market until some time during the late 90s or early 21st Century (probably around 2001 or 2002) when they were taken off the shelves for good.
I LOVED DOO DADS!! ME & MY DAD WOULD EAT THESE!! THE NEWER VERSION IS THE CHEX MIX BUT NOT THE SAME AT ALL!! IT HAD THE CHEX, TIDBITS, SALTED PEANUTS, AND PRETZEL STICKS I THINK... ALL I KNOW IS THEY WERE THE BEST!!
Doo dads were my all time favorite snack! Way better than chex mix. When we went shopping with my grandma she would ask what we wanted for a snack I would always ask for either doo dads or fiddle faddle.
If Banana Cream of Wheat came back Today after years of emails. We Can get back DOO DADS Lets All Start to post everywhere
The Chex Mix you can buy today is not nearly as good as Doo Dads were. I, too, wish they would bring these back. Sometimes The Vermont Country Store is able to find these kinds of things or induce manufacturers to begin producing them again. I contacted them about this, but no luck...
