Description
I had these at my grandmother's house when I was young. But I think it was a test product that didn't sell well, and therefore was discontinued. Can you help me verify this? I know I didn't imagine them. I would like to buy them again.

I remember chocolate covered Twinkies with a white squiggle on top. I loved them. I believe they had to be out in the 1960's at the latest.
No you def did not imagine them, my brother and I talk about them all the time. They didn't do well back then but although a mystery for a while I "think" they did recently hit the market again.
The definitely existed. I think they just figured that they were just making 2 versions of the Suzy-Q.

I knew I wasn't "imaGANing" the chocolate twinkies I saw on the store shelves!!
I remember the chocolate Twinkies when I was young back in the early 80's. I don't remember them being around for more than a few years, but from my recollection they were only sold at the convenience stores as twin packs just like the regular ones. They were exactly like the originals except the cake was chocolate instead of vanilla with the same white cream center. They were better than the original ones to me.
