Description
Adams had a variety of sour fruit gums (grape, cherry, apple, etc). They came 7 stick to a pack. Very tasty and pungent. My father couldn't stand them. Bambinos were salted soy beans marketed as a helathier replacement to penauts. They actually weren't half bad.

I remember Bambinos, they were packed in my lunchbox and even though I loved them, I was harassed at school for bringing in something so "weird"...

ADAM's SOUR cherry gum was my favorite. These sour but good gums go back circa 1965, and disappeared completely by 1979 or '80. I have an episode of Dick Clark's "Where the Action Is" (airdate 9/15/66) with an ADAM SOUR GUM commercial that shows old Mr. Adams, and four teenage girls screaming, "OOH, MR. ADAMS!!!" The ad also features a catchy jingle, "SOUR...POWER!"
