OMG! I loved Luv-It jeans!! I had so many different pair. I wish now that I would have kept them. I can't remember all the ones I had. My favorite pair had lips and I think lipstick on the back pocket. I had some with rainbows and the ones with hearts. I had a pair with oranges, I wish I could remember more. Every time Read's department store got a new pair, my best friend I were begging our mom's for them. Just went searching for a pic but haven't found one yet. Thanks for making me smile thinking back on this!
I have been looking forever to see if I could find something about Luv-It jeans. I had several pair also and my best friend and I always planned which ones we were going to wear. My favorite outfit was red corduroy pants with skates on the pocket with a long sleeve shirt with red skates across the chest. This made me smile too.
OMG. I so want a pair of luv-its jeans again. I had two pairs, one with the lipstick on one pocket and lips on the other, the other with a couple in a VW bug and a movie screen. I would kill to have them back.
I loved the roller skate one! I thought I was the best skater...I wasn't! LOL I did get a pair but NOT the Luv-It with the skate on it. Oh well....
WOW! One of the original skinny jean brands! Does anyone remember the black shiny Olivia Newton John (Grease) Luv-Its? I so wanted the pair with the heart with a bite taken out of the corner, but I was too young :-(
I also had LUV-IT jeans in the 6th grade. I bet that they would be a big seller today. Maybe some Hanna Montana LUV ITS or something.
My FAVE Luv Its were the ones with the gymnasts on the pockets and the skate you could REALLY tie!I always wanted the ones with the white v-shaped fringe on them! Of course, I wanted those AWESOME "Grease" ones too! Luv Its and Dr. Scholl's slip-on clogs!!!! SWEET!
I loved my Luv it and Wiggles jeans!!! I remember the ones with the lipstick, frog and the skates!!! I have been looking for them on ebay, so far no luck. They were my favorite jeans in 1979, 80, & 81 during middle school.

I 2 have been looking for a pair of saddle back and plain luv it jeans my favorits were my Brite Yellow w/ the saddle back and of course my plain pink ones i would love to have a pair once again thy ought to fabricate once again. PLEASE

I sold Luv It jeans in the late 70s, early 80s in my boutique, Hang Ups. Some of my customers were used as models to come up with the best fit! And they did fit very well! Our Bottoms Fit Yours!
I too have been scouring the internet for Luv it jeans for my 4 year old. I had the rainbow ones, ice cream cone ones and a chocolate chip cookie ones. What ever happened to them. If anyone finds them please email me at sjarboe3@cox.net.

I had several pairs! I loved them too! I had the roller skate rainbow on the pockets with a matching shirt. I had a Mork and Mindy pair with a cracking egg on the back pocket. I had the popular lipstick and lips pair. I also had a pair with the Superman logo on the back! I remember wearing the jeans to go see a superman movie. lol Seems hardly anyone remembers these jeans! I just had to look them up. I wish I'd saved them!
Just found a pair of wiggles with the roller skate at a thrift store. My six Year old will look so cute, they are in really good shape and even have the two butt cheaks on the tab. Then I will tell her about when I used to sport them around the skating rink
i LOVED luv-it jeans!! my sisters and i had them! bought them a melba's dance school in mcallen, texas! wouldn't they be a HIT if they came back?! also yo-yo platform sandals! wish they'd come back!
Loved my Luv It jeans. My favorite pair I received for Christmas in 1980. The word Foxy was on one pocket with a fox head on the other. Came with a matching short sleeved shirt. Also had a pair with a ribbon rainbow on the pockets and a long sleeve shirt to match. Wish they still made them would love to see my little girl in them!
My three daughters were so tiny and in the late 70's & early 80's Wiggles Jeans were the ONLY jeans that they could keep up! I have searched to find some for my little grandaughters....but we did keep the Kermit the Frog ones and Miss Piggy ones, as well as one tiny pair of Wiggles Jeans' shorts. If you find them, let me know, please. It was neat to see you other gals looking for memories you had of those years! And I have the tag on them at the hip that identifies them and remember the lipstick, rollerskates, etc.

I just listed a NEW pair of Luv-it jeans on ebay. They are originals and still have the tag. Check it out! Do a search on ebay for them!
I had tons of these jeans--Superman, lipstick, sparkle stars, Bugs Bunny... BUT I kept some of these and am listing a SUPER RARE pair with "Na-No Na-No" and a gloved hand from the popular TV show Mork & Mindy!!!! They are in near mint condition from 1978!!!! Check it out! So I was about 10 years old when these came out and they were all the rage. Tropical themed clothes were super hot and I had a white pair of Luvit jeans with bright parrots on the back pockets. Super cool!
I had a white pair with pink and blue notes on a treble clef on the back pockets. This was in 5th grade, and a friend of mine called me "musical butt." Thanks to the person earlier who enlightened me as to the style called "saddle back." I know exactly what that is!

I had luv it's with burgers and fries on the back pockets! Also birthday ones with the cake and colorful candles!!! I wish I would have kept them! I can remember pondering forever which ones to pick!!!! I had the lips too!!

i begged my mother for a pair of wiggles jeans and received a pair of ms. piggy pants for my birthday. I wore them until they fell apart then my mom sewed the ms. piggy patch on a pillow for me. I was looking for the jeans when I found all of these wonderful comments. So Fun!
I have gold heart with the bite out of it that was given to me by Tony Kaufman, the president of Luv Its. It has my name on the front and Luv It '75 on the back. I ordered the majority of jeans for my Hang Ups store in Canyon Country from Luv It! Those were good times!

I loved my luv-it jeans! 4th and 5th grade especially. Banana split with a single spoon Fries and a burger Spearmint gum with the green satin (?) emblem cupcakes Roller skate And just solid colors...my red ones were my favorite.
My dad had a jeans company called Kelly of California, they had miss piggy, bee gees, rainbow cloud, starburst, lipstick, roller skates and a bunch more. The company was around from 1975 to 1982.
I was a child model for Luv-It jeans, and yesterday at my mom's house I found an old logo T-Shirt. Ah the nostalgia of it all!
I remember a knock-off Ditto style with an upside down "saddle", but the name that comes to mind is "Do Its". I can't find anything about that.... maybe Luv Its had a "Ditto" type design?
